Author Guidelines

Manuscript Guidelines

• Language of Publication
Manuscripts shall be written in either Turkish or English.

• Word Count
Submitted manuscripts, including references and appendices, must contain a minimum of 6,000 and a maximum of 10,000 words.

• Reference Style
Manuscripts must be formatted according to the APA 7 (American Psychological Association, 7th Edition) style guide. Authors must ensure consistency between in-text citations and the reference list. (See Appendix for the APA 7 guide).

• Research Ethics
Qualitative and quantitative studies requiring data collection from participants through methods such as surveys, interviews, focus group studies, observations, and interviews necessitate approval from an ethics committee. For manuscripts requiring such approval, authors must upload a wet-signed copy of the ethics committee decision during the submission process.

• Copyright and Permissions
Permission must be obtained from the copyright holders for the use of any scales, surveys, or photographs created by others, and this information must be indicated within the manuscript. Compliance with copyright regulations is required for the use of intellectual and artistic works, and proper attribution must be provided in the text.

• Font Specifications:
Font: Cambria
Abstracts: 9 pt.
Main Text & References: 11 pt.
Alignment: Justified
Line Spacing: Single
Paragraph Indentation: 1 cm
Spacing before headings: 1 line space
Footnotes: 7 pt.
Headings: Manuscripts should be structured with a main title and subheadings.

• Article Title: Placed at the top of the first page, in 12 pt. font, single-spaced, with only the first letter of each major word capitalized. For Turkish articles, the Turkish title must be followed by the English title.

• Subheadings: Subheadings should be formatted in 11 pt. font, bold, and numbered with Arabic numerals (e.g., 1., 1.1., 1.1.1.). Main and subheading levels should be numbered accordingly (1., 2., 3., etc.). First-level headings should be in Title Case. Second-level (1.1., 1.2.) and third-level (1.1.1., 1.1.2.) headings should be in Sentence case (first word capitalized only).

• Abstract and Keywords:
Manuscripts must include a Turkish "Öz" and an English "Abstract," along with relevant keywords.

• Turkish Articles: Require a Turkish "Öz" (150-250 words) and a directly corresponding English "Abstract." Both should be formatted as a single paragraph in 9 pt. font.

• English Articles: Require an "Abstract" (150-250 words) formatted as a single paragraph in 9 pt. font.

• Keywords: Immediately following each abstract, provide 3 to 5 keywords under the headings "Anahtar Kelimeler" and "Keywords," respectively. Keywords should be in 9 pt. font and written in Sentence case.

• Tables, Figures, Charts, and Images:
Any tables, figures, charts, or images not created originally by the author(s) must be properly sourced.

• Labeling: All items must be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Table 2 / Figure 1, Figure 2 / Chart 1, Chart 2 / Image 1, Image 2). Titles should be placed above tables and charts.

• Source Attribution: For non-original items, a "Source" note must be provided immediately below, aligned to the left.

• Citations:
All in-text citations must adhere to the APA 7 guidelines. (See Appendix for the APA 7 guide).
