Die Melas-Brücke bei Kotenna und die Familie des Stanamoas
Abstract
One of the stone bridges that spanned the Melas during the Roman Empire was the “Gavur Köprüsü” near Kotenna. Compared with the neighbouring bridges of Oymapınar and Şahap, it was of only local significance, connecting the small poleis of Kotenna and Erymna separated from each other by the Melas canyon. Today, little remains of the bridge, but the building inscription cut into the rock on the western bank of the river is still preserved. It says that the bridge was built during the archonship of Orestes, son of Stanamoas and grandson of Setas. With the aid of two known honorary monuments from Kotenna it is possible to identify Orestes as yet another brother of Stanamoas II and Neoptelemos, who were prominent members of the local elite in the 2nd century AD. The article thus helps identify the position of the Stanamoas family in Kotenna

Abstract
Melas Manavgat Çayı üzerinden Roma Dönemi’nde geçit sağlayan taş köprülerden biri Kotenna yakınındaki Gavur Köprüsü’dür. Aynı akarsu üzerinde kurulan Oymapınar ve Şahap köprüleri ile kıyaslandığında bu köprünün herhangi bir ana güzergâh üzerinde yer almadığı, daha çok yerel nitelikli olduğu ve Kotenna ile Erymna kentleri arasındaki ulaşımı sağlamak için inşa edildiği anlaşılmaktadır. Zor bir coğrafya üzerinde yer alan köprünün sadece ana kayaya oyulmuş yatak izleri günümüze ulaşmıştır. Vadinin batı yakasında sarp kaya üzerine kazınmış inşaat yazıtı ise köprünün Setas oğlu ve Stanamoas torunu Orestes’in arkhonluk yaptığı yılda tamamlandığı bilgisini içermektedir. Bu onomastik bilgiler sayesinde Orestes’in Kotenna’da daha önce bulunan iki yazıtta anılan Stanamoas II ile Neoptolemos’un öz kardeşi olduğu ve İ.S. 2. yy.da yaşadığı anlaşılmaktadır. Babaları Setas üç oğlundan birine babasının Stanamoas , diğerlerine ise Yunan kahramanlarından esinlenerek Neoptolemos ve Orestes ismini koymuştur. Makalede bu soyun Kotenna’daki konumuna da yer verilmiştir.
