Mandibulada Periferal Dev Hücreli Granülom ve Tedavisi: Olgu Sunumu

Abstract

Periferal dev hücreli granüloma (PDHG) , genellikle mikrobiyal biyofilm, diş taşı, uyumsuz dolgu ve protezler gibi kronik lokal irritan faktörlere bağlı olarak, daha çok mandibulada anterior dişeti ve alveoler kret üzerinde ortaya çıkan ve kadınları daha çok etkileyen ekzofitik bir lezyondur. Benign bir lezyon olmakla birlikte lokal kemik kaybına yol açabilir ve nüks riski çok yüksektir. Bu olgu raporunda 48 yaşındaki kadın hastada gözlenen PDHG’un klinik özellikleri, tedavi aşamaları, cerrahi eksizyon yöntemi, histopatolojik ayırıcı tanısı ve 12 aylık takibi sunulmaktadır. Agresif yapısı ve yüksek rekürrens oranı olan PDHG’un doğru teşhis ve etkili tedavisi ile çevre kemiğe ve dişlere zarar vermesi engellenmesi klinisyenler için önemlidir. PDHG etyopatogenezi ve moleküler sürecinin anlaşılması için daha ileri çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır.

Peripheral Giant Cell Granuloma In The Mandible And Its Treatment: A Case Report

Abstract

Peripheral giant cell granuloma (PGCG) is an exophytic lesion which usually occurs on the anterior gingiva and alveolar crest of mandible due to chronic local trauma such as microbial biofilm, calculus, overhanging fillings and prosthesis generally affecting females. Although the lesion is benign, it has the potential to cause local bone loss and the rate of recurrence is very high. The clinical characteristics, treatment phases, surgical excision method, histopathological differential diagnosis and 12 months of follow-up is presented. It is crucial for the clinicians to correctly diagnose and effectively treat PGCG due to its aggressive character and high recurrence rate in order to prevent harm to surrounding bone and teeth. Further studies are needed to reveal out the etiopathogenesis and molecular process of PGCG.
