Çokkültürlü Eğitim: Öğretmen Eğitimi ile İlgili Yaklaşımlar

Öz

Araştırmalar,
Türkiye'de eğitime erişim ve devam sorunları ile karşı karşıya olan çok sayıda
çocuk grupları olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu gruplar arasında fakir çocuklar,
kızlar, anadili Türkçe olmayanlar, özel ihtiyaçları olan kişiler, öğrenme
güçlüğü çeken çocuklar, mevsimlik tarım işçilerinin çocukları, çocuk işçiler,
risk altındaki insanlar, LGBTİ+lar, Romanlar, geçici koruma altında olan
Suriyeli çocuklar ve zorla göç sonucu Türkiye'ye Irak, Afganistan ve Somali
ülkelerinden gelen çocuklar yer almaktadır Çokkültürlü eğitim, kız ve erkek
öğrenciler, sıradışı öğrenciler, çeşitli ırksal, etnik, dil ve kültürel
gruplara mensup öğrencilere okul başarısı için eşit fırsatlar sunacak bir
fikir, bir eğitim reformu hareketi ve bir süreçtir. Alandaki uygulamalar
çokkültürlü eğitimde tek bir yaklaşıın olmadığını ortaya koymaktadır. Eğitim sistemi
ile öğretmen eğitimi birbiri ile iç içe ve birbirlerini bütünleyen
sistemlerdir. Bu nedenle, kapsamlı bir literatür araştırmasının konuyu bir
bütün olarak görmek açısından faydalı olacağı düşünülmüştür. Literatür
çalışmasının eleştirel olark değerlendirilebilmesi için, ilgili tüm
çalışmaların analizinde sistematik kurallar ve aşamalar izlenmiştir.
Araştırmanın bulguları, öğretmen eğitimine yönelik üç temel yaklaşımın, her
biri iki aşamadan oluşan altı aşamada tanımlanabileceğini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu
bulgular politika yapıcılar, öğretmen adaylarını yetiştiren akademisyenler,
öğretmenler için bilgi sağlayabilir ve çokkültürlülük hakkında kendi felsefi
duruşlarına dayanarak her birinin güçlü ve zayıf yönlerini değerlendirebilirler.
