ADÜ-JSS is a scientific, double-blind peer-reviewed periodical that started its publishing life in 2024 with the aim of contributing to the field of sports sciences, which is published by Aydın Adnan Menderes University.
ADÜ-Journal of Sports Sciences (ADÜ-JSS) is a scientific and international electronic journal that publishes original research articles and review articles aiming to contribute to the field of Sports Sciences, adopts an open access policy, conducts double-blind peer-review, and is a scientific and international electronic journal. ADU-JSS publishes two issues a year and the publication language of the journal is English and Turkish.
ADU-JSS accepts original research articles and review articles related to all sub-disciplines of sports sciences for evaluation.
General Rules for Article Submission
1. The written language of the journal is English and Turkish.
2. The articles to be submitted to ADÜ-JSS must not have been published by any other publishing organization before.
3. Articles submitted to ADÜ-JSS should not have been sent to another publishing journal for evaluation at the same time.
4. The authors agree to comply with the principles recommended in the Declaration of Helsinki for human and animal studies. The responsibility in this regard lies entirely with the authors.
5. Similarity reports obtained by plagiarism programs of the articles submitted to ADÜ-JSS must be uploaded during the article application.
6. If the articles submitted for evaluation are supported by any institution/organization or derived from a graduate thesis, it should be indicated on the first page as a footnote.
7. The main text of the manuscript should not include information about the names and institutions of the authors. Personal information should be given in detail in the title page form (contact number, e-mail address, orcid ID, institutional information).
8. After the manuscript is submitted to the journal for publication, none of the authors can be deleted from the author list without the written permission of all authors, and no name can be added as an author and the author order cannot be changed. The primary author must be indicated in the manuscript.
Spelling Rules
1. The articles to be submitted to ADÜ-JSS for evaluation should be organized as Abstract/Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion, Acknowledgements (if necessary), References, and each section title should be written in bold, first capital letter and 12 pt.
2. English and Turkish titles of the article should be written in 14 pt. and bold.
3. Abstract/Abstract section should be at least 200 and at most 250 words. Abstract/Abstract section should be written in Times New Roman 10 font size and single-spaced.
4. At least 3 and at most 5 keywords that will reflect the content of the research should be included under the abstract section. Keywords should be written so that each word starts with a capital letter and there should be a comma between them.
5. The page layout should be arranged in a way not to exceed 10000 words (including title, tables and bibliography sections) with 2 cm margins at the top, bottom, right and left margins. The text of the study should be written in 12 point 1.5 spacing; the bibliography text should be written in 10 point 1 spacing.
6. Tables, graphs and statistical reports should be prepared according to APA style. Table font should be 10 pt.
7. First level headings (Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion, References, etc.) should be in Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing and justified.
8. Second Level Title (Data Collection Tools, Participants, etc.) should be written in Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing, justified and italicized.
9. Third Level Title should be in Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing, justified, italicized.
10. All tables in the research should be in APA
Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
Publication Ethics
The ethical statements of ADU-JSS are based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Code of Conduct guidelines. ADU-JSS follows the COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and Core Practices and aims to comply with the Best Practice Guidelines. Authenticity checking and plagiarism prevention services are used at ADU-JSS. After your manuscript is evaluated by the editor for its suitability in terms of similarity score (maximum 15%), further review processes will continue.
Responsibilities of the Publisher and Editors
The publisher is responsible for the publication of ADU-JSS in the specified periods. The editors are responsible for each publication in ADÜ-JSS. The publisher guarantees adherence to the journal's editorial policies, especially with regard to transparency and integrity (e.g., research funding, conflicts of interest, and reporting standards). Editors must meet the information needs of readers and Meet the information needs of readers and authors. They should strive for the development of ADU-JSS. They should strive to improve the quality of the work published in ADU-JSS. Maintain all processes without compromising intellectual property rights and ethical standards. The editors of ADU-JSS are responsible for the peer review process of the articles and make the final decision on which articles to publish based on the comments of the referees and editorial board members. The editorial review of the submitted manuscript is based entirely on scientific merit, regardless of the author's gender, age, sexual orientation, race, citizenship, ethnicity, religion, political opinion, and institutional affiliation.
Responsibilities of Referees
All manuscripts submitted to ADÜ-JSS are subject to at least anonymized double peer review. Reviewers must agree to impartially review all manuscripts based on their scientific content, regardless of the author's gender, age, sexual orientation, race, citizenship, ethnicity, religion, political opinion, and institutional affiliation. Reviewers must acknowledge that they have reviewed articles within their area of expertise in a timely manner. They also agree that all information in the articles accepted for evaluation is kept confidential. As a result of the referee decisions, the editor may appoint a third, fourth or more referees to make a decision.
Responsibilities of Authors
Author(s) submitting a study to ADÜ-JSS are expected to comply with the following ethical responsibilities:
-The author(s) cannot submit the same research to more than one publishing organization at the same time.
-The studies submitted by the author(s) are expected to be original.
-Persons who do not contribute intellectually to the content of the manuscript should not be listed as authors.
-Changing the author responsibilities (such as adding an author, changing the author order, removing an author, etc.) cannot be proposed for a study whose evaluation process has started.
- Authors should clearly declare potential conflicts of interest for each author.
Open Access Policy
Users can read, download, copy, distribute, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of articles in ADÜ-JSS without prior permission from the publisher or author. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative's (BOAI) definition of open access.
Copyright Policy
By signing the Copyright License Agreement, the authors agree that if the article is accepted for publication by ADÜ-JSS, it will be licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International CC BY-NC. Authors agree to transfer their copyrights to ADU Journal of Sports Sciences if the article is accepted for publication.
