The Roles of Principals Be Assigned In School Based Management Processes

Abstract

In order to increase the quality of the educational process, the school-based management which support decision made in schools about schools is foreseeing some changes in school stakeholder roles in addition to changes in educational and managerial process. This changes mainly affected school principals who are key person in the process of implementing of the changes in educational and managerial works. In order to examine school based management - implemented school principals a literature review was used for this study. In this study, Erıc, Ebsco, and Proquest database were searched. At the end of the search, 7 works appropriate to this study were examined in order to identify the roles of the school based management implemented school principals. When all of the works within the line of this study were evaluated school based management implemented schools’ principals showed that principals hold some roles and responsibility in the following areas; educational leadership, budget management, visionary leadership, and putting school stakeholders into decision making process .

OKUL MERKEZLİ YÖNETİM SÜRECİNİNDE GÖREV ALAN OKUL MÜDÜRLERİNİN ROLLERİ

Abstract

Eğitim sürecinin niteliğinin artırılması amacıyla okulla ilgili kararların okullarda alınmasına vurgu yapan okul merkezli yönetim uygulaması eğitsel ve yönetsel süreçlerde meydana getirdiği değişikliklerin yanı sıra okul paydaşlarının rollerinde de birtakım değişiklikleri öngörmektedir. Rollerinde değişiklik olan en önemli okul paydaşı ise eğitsel ve yönetsel süreçlerde meydana gelen değişikliklerin uygulanmasında anahtar kişiler olan okul müdürleridir. Okul merkezli yönetim sürecinde görev alan okul müdürlerinin rollerini incelemek amacıyla tarama modelinde desenlenen bu araştırmada konu ile ilgili Eric, Ebsco ve Proquest veri tabanlarında yayımlanmış olan tez ve makaleler incelenmiştir. Yapılan incelemeler sonucunda amaca uygun olan 7 çalışma bu araştırmada ele alınarak okul merkezli yönetim sürecinde görev alan okul müdürlerinin rolleri betimlenmiştir. Araştırmanın amacı doğrultusunda ele alınan araştırmalar değerlendirildiğinde okul merkezli yönetim sürecinde görev alan okul müdürlerinin eğitsel liderlik, bütçe yönetimi, vizyoner liderlik, okul paydaşlarını karar alma sürecine dâhil etme gibi alanlarda birtakım rol ve sorumluluklar üstlendikleri görülmüştür.
