Abstract

Koruyucu aile hizmet modeli, korunma ihtiyacı olan çocukların güvenli ve destekleyici bir aile ortamında yetiştirilmelerini amaçlayan aile odaklı çocuk koruma hizmetidir. Koruyucu ailede bulunan çocuklar, genellikle biyolojik, psikolojik ve sosyal açıdan çok yönlü risk faktörlerine maruz kalmaktadır. Bu yüzden müdahale süreçlerinde ailelerin sunduğu bakım hizmetleri bütüncül bir yaklaşım değerlendirilmelidir. Bu derleme çalışmada, koruyucu aile hizmet modeli klinik sosyal hizmet bakış açısıyla ele alınmakta; modelin tarihsel gelişimi, teorik temelleri ve klinik uygulamalar biyopsikososyal perspektifle incelenmektedir. Literatüre bakıldığında koruyucu ailelere yönelik geliştirilen/uyarlanan ulusal ve uluslararası klinik sosyal hizmet uygulamaları bulunmaktadır. Bunlar; Koruyucu ailelere yönelik geliştirilen psikoeğitim programı, Kalpten bir ev: Koruyucu ailelere yönelik müdahale programı, Koruyucu aile-koruyucu çocuk müdahalesi, ABC müdahale programı, Koruyucu aileleri eğitme ve destekleme programı (KEEP), Erken müdahale koruyucu aile programı, Ebeveyn-çocuk etkileşim terapisi (PCIT) ve İnanılmaz yıllar müdahale programıdır. Derlemede, bu uygulamalara ilişkin genel bilgiler verilerek yapılan araştırmalara değinilmektedir. Bu bağlamda ruh sağlığı çalışanları olarak klinik sosyal hizmet uzmanlarının koruyucu aile hizmetinin güçlendirilmesi ve geliştirilmesi için klinik sosyal hizmet uygulamalarının etkililiğine ilişkin daha fazla araştırmaya ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Çalışma, koruyucu aile hizmetlerinin niteliğini artırmaya yönelik bütüncül ve çok düzeyli uygulama çerçevelerine katkı sunmayı amaçlamaktadır.

THE ROLE AND IMPORTANCE OF CLINICAL SOCIAL WORK INTERVENTIONS IN THE FOSTER CARE

Abstract

The foster family service model is a family-centered child protection service that aims to raise children in need of protection within a safe and supportive family environment. Children placed in foster care are often exposed to multiple risk factors in biological, psychological, and social domains. Therefore, the caregiving services provided by foster families should be evaluated through a holistic approach in intervention processes.This review study examines the foster family service model from a clinical social work perspective, exploring its historical development, theoretical foundations, and clinical practices through a biopsychosocial lens. A review of the literature reveals the existence of both national and international clinical social work interventions developed or adapted for foster families. These include: psychoeducation programs for foster families, the "Home from the Heart" intervention program, Foster Parent-Foster Child Intervention, the Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-up (ABC) intervention, the KEEP (Keeping Foster and Kin Parents Supported and Trained) program, Early Intervention Foster Care Program, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and the Incredible Years intervention program.The review provides general information about these interventions and references relevant research studies. In this context, there is a growing need for further research on the effectiveness of clinical social work interventions in order to strengthen and develop foster family services. The study aims to contribute to comprehensive and multi-level practice frameworks to enhance the quality of foster family services.
