The school is one of the students’ living areas. It is a natural need that this area is a place where one can feel himself / herself as in private living spaces. The feeling of belonging to the school environment provides focus and active participation in the child. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of classroom ergonomics on students ‘and classroom teachers’ motivation towards learning and teaching. For this purpose, a teacher who wants to participate voluntarily was identified. Teacher and students were observed and their classroom needs were determined. A class ergonomics is designed to meet these needs. The classroom was organized and made available for teacher-student use. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to determine the effect of motivation level on students and teachers. According to the results of the interview, it was found that the classroom layout was able to respond to the needs of the students, flexible learning medium could be provided according to the individual and this situation was interesting for the students. It was found that the ergonomics of the classroom, which was prepared with a flexible seating arrangement, increased the motivation of the students and their willingness to attend the school and facilitated their learning. Among the findings directed to the teacher, it was found that he felt more comfortable in this teaching environment, that the designed order was a more useful, student-centered and democratic environment and this environment provided more efficient time management.
