Osman Şahin was born in Hekimhan, Malatya in 1983. He completed his primary and secondary education in Malatya. In 2006, he completed his undergraduate programme in English Language Teaching at Gazi University and started working as an English teacher. In 2017, he started working as an English lecturer at İnönü University.

He completed his master's degree in Sociology of Religion in 2015 and his doctorate in History of Religions in 2021.

He is interested in cinema and religion, Christianity and other religions.
