Ahi Journal of Theology is a national refereed academic journal published twice a year.
Ahi Journal of Theology, Kıraat, Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Theology and Islamic Sects, History of Sects, Sufism, Arabic Language and Rhetoric, Siyer-i Nebi and Islamic History, Islamic Arts, Religious Music, Ottoman Turkish, Islamic Turkish Literature, Islamic Philosophy, It aims to publish and share with the public studies such as articles, book reviews and symposium evaluations in the fields of Religious Education, History of Religions, Philosophy of Religion, Sociology of Religion, Psychology of Religion, Logic and Islamic Ethics.

WRITING RULES
Articles submitted to the journal should be prepared on the article template. Click here for the article template.

While uploading the study to the system, the Ethical Declaration Form and Copyright Notice Text must be uploaded together.
Submitted manuscripts should not exceed 9,000 words including attachments such as pictures, figures, maps, etc. (excluding footnotes, bibliography, abstract and English abstracts).
The manuscripts submitted for publication are subjected to PRE-CONTROL, PRE-CLASSIFICATION, REVIEWER EVALUATION and TURKISH-ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHECKING. The manuscript that is examined three times at the Pre-Control stage but fails to pass this process is returned to the author and is not processed again in the same publication period. The manuscripts that pass the Preliminary Control stage are included in the evaluation process in which at least two referees take part within the framework of the principle of double blind refereeing.

Page Size and Margins: Page Size: A4 (width: 21 cm - height: 29,7 cm).
Margins: Top - Bottom: 3,5 Cm / Left - Right: 3,0 Cm.
Font and font size (Turkish/English)
Article Title: ‘Gentium Plus’ 18 pt, Bold.
Author Name: ‘Gentium Plus’ 14 pt, Bold.
Abstract: ‘Gentium Plus’ font, 10 pt. Line spacing: 15 pt.
Keywords: ‘Gentium Plus’ font, 8 pt.
Titles within the article: ‘Gentium Plus’ 12 pt, Bold.

Article Title
The title of the article should be arranged according to the ISNAD Citation System; it should be set as 0 pt from the top, 6 pt from the bottom and without indentation; it should be aligned in the centre.
Headings within the article should be arranged according to the ISNAD Citation System; set as 0 pt from the top and bottom and without indentation; aligned on both sides.
Headings should be as short as possible but should reflect the subject matter, and double quotation marks (‘-’) or slash marks (/) should not be used. A colon (:) may be used if deemed necessary.
Titles (except Abstract, Abstract, Introduction, Conclusion and References) should be formed in decimal system order as ‘1. 2. 3.; 1.1., 1.2.; 1.2.1.’ using numbers followed by a period. A space should be left between the title number and the first letter of the title.
Only the first letters of the words in the titles should be capitalised. Italic spelling should not be used.

Abstract
Turkish abstract and equivalent English abstract should be written in a range of 250-350 words to reflect the content of the research, including introduction, method, findings, evaluation and conclusions. ‘Gentium Plus’ font, 10 pt and 15 pt line spacing should be used.

Keywords
Keywords should be in Gentium Plus 8 font size and consist of at least 5 and at most 7 words.
Keywords help the publication to be scanned and indexed electronically and are of great importance in finding the publication by researchers. For this reason, concepts that accurately reflect the relevant article should be selected and ordered from general to specific.
The first concept must be the name of the scientific discipline. The second concept should be determined as the name of the subject, sect, person or work reflecting the research. Then, concepts that fully reflect the content of the article should be added.
If the study is focused on a person or work, the name of the relevant work and author must be written as keywords.
Each word should start with a capital letter and a comma should be placed after each word.

Introduction
Laying the groundwork for the overall picture or problem of the study;
Clear expression of the problem/objective;
Studies on the subject existing in the literature;
What is the gap in the literature and how will your study contribute to filling this gap and solving the problem?
Details of the path to be followed while doing this;
Conclusions and recommendations.

Footnotes
Footnotes should be set in Gentium Plus font, 9 pt, 12 pt line spacing, aligned on both sides. Spacing should be set as 0 pt from top and bottom.
Footnote style should be in accordance with ISNAD 2 Citation System.
Arabic words in footnotes and bibliography should be in 10 pt. and Traditional Arabic font, written in bold and 15 pt. line spacing should be used.
Only end-of-page reference system should be used.
Footnote numbers should be in header size, 9 pt and Gentium Plus font.

Tables, Figures and Images
It should be organised in accordance with the ISNAD Citation System.
Texts containing tables, figures and pictures should be written in Gentium Plus font with a font size of 10 points and should be aligned on both sides.
Table, Figure and Image captions and references, if any, should be written in Gentium Plus font in 8-point font size; aligned on both sides; 1.15 fold spacing, 0 pt from top and bottom.
Table, Figure and Picture titles should be numbered as ‘Table 1.’, ‘Figure 1.’, ‘Figure 1.’, ‘Figure 1.’, ‘Figure 1.’ etc. and only the numbering, i.e. ‘Table 1.’ etc., should be written in bold.
Tables should not extend beyond the writing area (page margins should not be violated), and spaces should be set as 0 pt from the top and 6 pt from the bottom. Tables smaller than the page type area should be left aligned.
Abbreviations
The abbreviation should be made as specified in the ISNAD Citation System; if the abbreviation is not specified in the ISNAD Citation System, the author's preference should be stated in the description section when submitting the article.
No abbreviations should be used in the titles of any works other than the encyclopaedias and classical works cited.

Conclusion
The result of the study or the proposed solution is clearly expressed.
The conclusion should not be a summary of the study.

Bibliography
References should start on the page after the conclusion.
References should be organised according to the ISNAD Citation System.
References should be written in Gentium Plus font in 10 point size; aligned on both sides; single-spaced.
For each reference, the first line should be indented from the left, and the following lines should be indented 1.25 cm from the left. Spaces for each source should be 0 pt from the top and 6 pt from the bottom.
If more than one work of an author is included in the bibliography, the author's name should be written again for each work.
DOI numbers, if any, should be added to the articles in the bibliography in accordance with the ISNAD Citation System.
The suffix ‘el’ should not be used in the surname of the author of the work cited in the bibliography and footnotes.
In the writing of Arabic source names, as a general rule, only the first letter of the first word is capitalised. However, if there is a proper name (person, country, city or another book name) in the book title, it is also capitalised. Titles of works are formatted in italics.
References to journals should not include day and month.
In references to journals, volumes and numbers should not have Roman numerals.
In the bibliography, there should be no space before and after the apostrophe (-) between the names of two authors, translators, editors, editors, reviewers, etc.
A maximum of one work of the same author of the same type can be published in one issue.
