Yapay Zekâ ve Eleştirel Düşünmenin Kesişiminde: 1992–2025 Arası Araştırmaların Bibliyometrik Analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışma, yapay zekâ ve eleştirel düşünme alanlarında yürütülen akademik araştırmaların eğilimlerini, etki düzeylerini ve tematik gelişimini bibliyometrik yöntemler aracılığıyla incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu kapsamda, Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection veri tabanından 1992–2025 yılları arasında yayımlanmış toplam 522 bilimsel doküman elde edilmiş ve Bibliometrix paketinin Biblioshiny arayüzü kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, özellikle son beş yılda araştırma üretkenliğinde belirgin bir artış olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu süreçte Amerika Birleşik Devletleri (%16,7) ve Çin (%14,4) alanın en önde gelen katkı sağlayıcıları olarak öne çıkmaktadır. En üretken yazarlar arasında Dai Y, Mishra P, Xu S ve Lee AVY yer almaktadır. En fazla atıf alan dergiler ise Computers & Education, Education and Information Technologies ve British Journal of Educational Technology olarak belirlenmiştir. Tematik analiz sonuçları, “yapay zekâ”, “eleştirel düşünme”, “eğitim”, “etik” ve “yapay zekâ okuryazarlığı” kavramlarının alanın çekirdeğini oluşturduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Ayrıca 2020 sonrası çalışmalarda üretken yapay zekâ, etik sorumluluk ve pedagojik bütünleştirme konularına artan bir odaklanma olduğu görülmektedir. Genel olarak bulgular, yapay zekâ ve eleştirel düşünme alanının hızla çeşitlenen konulara sahip, bilimsel görünürlüğü giderek artan ve belirgin biçimde disiplinlerarası bir araştırma alanına dönüştüğünü göstermektedir. Bu gelişmelerin sistematik biçimde haritalandırılması yoluyla, mevcut çalışma gelecekte yürütülecek araştırmalar için ampirik ve metodolojik bir çerçeve sunmaktadır.

At the Intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Critical Thinking: A Bibliometric Analysis of Research from 1992 to 2025

Abstract

This study aims to examine the trends, impact levels, and thematic development of academic research conducted in the fields of artificial intelligence and critical thinking through bibliometric methods. A total of 522 scientific documents published between 1992 and 2025 were retrieved from the Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection and analyzed using the Biblioshiny interface of the Bibliometrix package.bThe findings reveal a marked increase in research productivity in the last five years, with the United States (16.7%) and China (14.4%) emerging as the leading contributors. Among the most prolific authors are Dai Y, Mishra P, Xu S, and Lee AVY. The most highly cited journals include Computers & Education, Education and Information Technologies, and the British Journal of Educational Technology. The thematic analysis indicates that the concepts “artificial intelligence,” “critical thinking,” “education,” “ethics,” and “AI literacy” constitute the core of the field, while post-2020 studies increasingly focus on generative artificial intelligence, ethical responsibility, and pedagogical integration. Overall, the research landscape demonstrates that the field of artificial intelligence and critical thinking has evolved into a distinctly interdisciplinary domain, with rapidly diversifying topics and growing scientific visibility. By systematically mapping these developments, the present study provides an empirical and methodological framework that may guide future research.
