Abstract
Psikolojik danışman eğitiminin kritik bir tamamlayıcısı olarak düşünülen süpervizyon, psikolojik danışmada yeni bir uzmanlık alanı olarak öne çıkmaya başlamıştır. Amerika’da ve Avrupa ülkelerinde mesleki kuruluşların belirlediği koşullar ve standartlar, süpervizyon altında psikolojik danışma deneyimine sahip olmanın psikolojik danışman eğitimindeki önemini ortaya koymaktadır.
Psikolojik danışman eğitiminde süpervizyonun gerekliliğinin yanı sıra süpervizyon sürecinin nasıl yapılandırılacağı konusu, süpervizör yeterliliklerini dikkate almayı da gerektirmiştir. Süpervizyon sürecinin önemli bir ögesi olarak süpervizörlerin etkili süpervizyon hizmeti sunmak için gerekli yeterliliklere sahip olmaları ve ayrı bir eğitime ihtiyaç olduğu önem kazanmıştır. Nitekim ABD’de
ve Avrupa’da lisansüstü düzeydeki eğitimde psikolojik danışmanların bir süpervizör eğitimi almaları önemli bir gereklilik olarak görülmektedir. Özellikle Amerika’da süpervizör eğitiminin nasıl olması ve neleri içermesi gerektiğiyle ilgili zengin bir literatür dikkat çekmektedir. Türkiye’de ise henüz psikolojik danışma uygulamaları ve süpervizyonu ile ilgili standartlardan söz edilemediği gibi, süpervizör eğitiminin de yeterince yaygınlaşmadığı görülmektedir. Bu amaçla, süpervizör eğitimine ilişkin örneklere duyulan ihtiyaçtan hareketle bu çalışmada öncelikle süpervizörün eğitimi ile ilgili literatür bilgisi sunulmuştur. Ardından, formal süpervizör eğitiminin öne çıkan bir şekli olarak üniversitelerde yürütülen akademik dersler kapsamında, araştırmacıların doktora programında takip ettikleri “Psikolojik Danışmada Süpervizyon” dersi tanıtılmış ve söz konusu ders literatür ışığında incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuç bölümünde ise Türkiye’de, psikolojik danışmada süpervizör eğitimi için öneriler sunulmuştur.
Abstract
Supervision, considered as a critical complement to the counselor education, has emerged as a professional specialty. Requirements and standards set by professional organizations in the US and European countries reveal the importance of counseling practice under supervision. As well as requisite of supervision in counselor education, the matter of how supervision process conducted is also required to take into account for the supervisor competence. As an important component of the supervision process it has gained importance that supervisors must have the required skills to provide effective supervision and they need for a separate education in supervision. Indeed, in Europe and in the United States supervisor training is seen as a key requirement for counselor at graduate level. In America, particularly, there is rich literature on how the supervisor training must be and what the training should include. In Turkey, the standard of counseling and supervision has not been mentioned and yet the supervisor training is not widespread enough. For this purpose, in this study, literature about the supervisor training is presented based on the need for samples of the supervision training. Then, as a prominent form of formal supervisor training which is the academic courses carried out in universities, "Supervision Counseling" course that researchers followed at their doctoral education is introduced and the course is examined within the scope of literature. In conclusion, recommendations are presented for supervisor training in counseling in Turkey.
