About

Asian Journal of Education (AJI) is an internationally refereed e-journal that publishes original research articles aiming to contribute to the field of education. It seeks to publish studies on current issues that advance knowledge in educational sciences and teacher training.

The journal is published online at least twice a year, in June and December. As of the June 2023 issue, only articles in English are published. The manuscript review process can be conducted in Turkish, and articles translated into English by the author after acceptance enter the publication process.

Articles submitted to the Asian Journal of Education are subject to a double-blind peer-review process. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two expert referees within the framework of the "Ethical Rules for Referees" published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)

Asian Journal of Education is a fully open access journal. It follows the definition of open access from the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI). This means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or their institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

Authors who publish with this journal retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication. All articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. There is no embargo period, and no registration is required to access content.

Asian Journal of Education does not charge any submission, article processing (APCs), or publication fees from authors. This journal utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

Asian Journal of Education participates in the Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), ensuring that research evaluation is based on the quality and societal contribution of the work, not solely on journal impact factors.

Asian Journal of Education, in publication since 2013, is indexed in H. W. Wilson, EBSCO, and the Turkish Education Index. It is currently in the application process for TR Index and SCOPUS.
