Investigation of the Cytotoxic Properties of Two Different Soft Lining Materials

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the cytotoxicity of 2 soft relining materials following 3 different aging periods. Material and Methods: 162 disc specimens of 5 mm radius and 2 mm thickness and made of 2 different soft lining materials Group A: Hydrocast; n=81, Group B: Trusoft; n=81 were divided into 3 subgroups Group I: 1 day water aging, Group II: 2 days water aging , Group III: 7 days water aging . After the water aging periods, the cytotoxicity of the lining materials was determined by using mouse fibroblast L929 cells incubated with 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5 diphenyl tetrazolium bromide after 24 hours, 48 hours and 72 hours. İki Farklı Yumuşak Astar Materyalinin Sitotoksik Özelliklerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Çalışmada, iki farklı yumuşak astar materyalinin suda 3 farklı yaşlandırma süresi sonrasındaki sitotoksik özelliklerinin karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: 162 adet 5 mm çapında ve 2 mm kalınlığında 2 farklı yumuşak astar materyalinden Grup A: Hydrocast; n=81, Grup B: Trusoft; n=81 hazırlanan disk örnekler 3 alt gruba ayrıldı. Grup I: 1 gün suda yaşlandırma, Grup II: 2 gün suda yaşlandırma, Grup III: 7 gün suda yaşlandırma. Belirtilen yaşlandırma sürelerini takiben fare fibroblast hücreleri L929 kullanılarak; 24 saat, 48 saat ve 72 saat hücre inkübasyonu sonrasında her grup için ortalama hücre canlılık yüzdeleri 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5 diphenyl tetrazolium bromide testi ile belirlendi. Gruplar arasındaki istatistiksel farklılıkların tespiti için ANOVA One-Way testi kullanıldı. p
