Abstract
Örnekleme çalışmalarında evren parametrelerini tahmin etmek için yaygın olarak En küçük kareler (EKK) tahmin edicileri kullanılmaktadır. Ancak EKK tahmin edicileri sadece normal dağılım varsayımı altında etkin tahmin edicilerdir. Bu çalışmada istatistikte yaygın olarak kullanılan L, M ve R sağlam tahmin edici sınıflarından 8 farklı tahmin edicinin örnekleme alanında kullanımı ele alınmıştır. Ele alınan bu tahmin ediciler Türkiye’deki patates üretim verimliliğini tahmin etmek için kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak evrenin uzun kuyruklu simetrik dağılıma sahip olması durumunda, konum parametresinin en etkin tahmin edicisinin MML tahmin edicisi olduğu belirlenmiştir.
