Globalization, Education and Future
Abstract
This study first deals with the phenomenon and dimensions of globalization and dwells on some
projections about the education trends in the future of Turkey. Education is an effort to convey the individual and
the society to a targeted point planned as a result of future projection. Turkey is a country which is at the
crossroads in many aspects and always discussing about its future. Nowadays the society is discussing its future
and the resulting instability affects the institution and philosophy of education. This study puts forward the
results of information and globalization and their relations with education. Also the effects of new science
philosophy were examined and Turkey’s abilities and the risks exposed were discussed in terms of globalization.
As a result it was concluded that the education must be according to the country and culture, i.e. it must be
national, no matter what social designation is done and directed in a country.

Abstract
Bu çalışmada küreselleşme olgusu ve boyutlarına değinildikten sonra Türkiye için gelecekteki eğitim yöneliminin nasıl olması gerektiği üzerinde durulmuştur. Eğitim bir gelecek tasarımı sonucu birey ve toplumu hedeflenen noktaya taşıma çalışmasıdır. Türkiye, birçok bakımdan yol ayrımında olan, geleceğini tartışan bir ülkedir. Türkiye hem bilişim devrimi ve küresel gelişmeler hem de dış siyasal ve kültürel faktörlerce etkilenen bir ülkedir. İçinde bulunulan yıllarda toplum geleceğini tartışmakta ve bunun yarattığı kararsızlık eğitim kurumunu ve felsefesini etkilemektedir. Çalışmada bilişim ve küreselleşmenin sonuçlarıyla eğitim ilişkileri ortaya konmuştur. Yeni bilim felsefesinin etkileri incelenmiş, küreselleşmeyle Türkiye’nin olanakları ve ülkeye yönelen riskler tartışılmıştır. Çalışmada, ülkede nasıl bir toplumsal tasarım yapılır ve yön verilirse verilsin, eğitimin bu ulusa ve bu kültüre göre yani “millî” olması gerektiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır..
