What Kind of Measurement and Evaluation is Required in Foreign Language Teaching

Abstract

In the process of teaching, the basic objective is to achieve the desired goals. Therefore, measurement and evaluation process at regular intervals is performed during instruction. As in all academic programs, in foreign language teaching, measurement and evaluation process is based on a detailed study. But the most important point to consider is to define how measurement and evaluation process should be. In this study, the importance of measurement and evaluation in foreign language teaching is emphasized. And the question “Do the evaluation and measurement instruments in foreign language teaching have required features?” is answered. In this context, a scale related with testing was developed and it has been given to the the teaching staff
