Abstract
The aim of this research is to develop a scale for determining the entrepreneurship skills of middle school fifth-grade students. For this purpose, this study was carried out in the survey of the quantitative research method. Data was obtained from the 5-point Likert type scale with 49 items. These created items were applied to a total of 651 fifth grade students and selected by simple random sampling method studying in the Toroslar district of Mersın in term of the 2019-2020 academic year. Validity and reliability analyzes were carried out on the data obtained. For the content validity of the scale, an item pool was created in line with expert opinions. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyzes were conducted for construct validity. The three factors that resulted in the construct validity of the scale were named as “Self-regulation”, “Innovation”, and “Self-Efficacy”. The Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of the scale was found as .71, for the “Self-regulation” sub-dimension, .85 for the "Innovation" sub-dimension and .75 for the "Self-Efficacy" sub-dimension. Cronbach’s Alpha coefficients were calculated- for total scale .89. As a result of the analyses and evaluations performed, a valid and reliable is to develop a scale for determining the entrepreneurship skills of middle school students of 24 items was developed.
