Abstract

The difference between what individuals expect from life and what they get reveals their life satisfaction. It is seen that the closer one gets to the determined criteria, the more one's life satisfaction is met. Although working life has different intensities at different times, it is among the requirements determining life satisfaction. Uncertainties or negativities in working life can lead to a widening gap between what is expected from life and what is achieved. It is observed that the quality of life of employees who cannot receive the respect or courtesy they expect from their managers in their working life may decrease. Most often, this situation manifests itself through a decrease in employees' identification with their workplace. In this study, the mediating role of organizational identification in the effect of manager incivility on life satisfaction was examined. Data obtained by survey method from 204 academic personnel were analyzed. The results of the analysis indicate that organizational identification has a mediating role in the effect of manager incivility on life satisfaction. In addition, a moderating role of age on this mediating effect has been determined.

Yönetici Nezaketsizliğinin Yaşam Doyumuna Etkisinde Örgütsel Özdeşleşmenin Aracılık Rolü

Year 2024, , 551 - 562, 31.05.2024
