Abstract

With the growing adoption of sustainable products, the process of choosing suppliers becomes increasingly crucial for businesses. These products reduce the waste of natural resources and cause less harm to the environment. With the use of masks and increasing environmental awareness, people have begun to consider environmental factors when choosing masks and many other products. As a result, studies that consider environmental factors instead of the traditional supplier selection procedure are attracting more and more attention in the literature. The aim of this study is to select a mask supplier for a business that sells environmentally friendly products with Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods. In this direction, it is aimed to reach the most suitable solution for selection by using the Entropy-based TOPSIS method, one of the MCDM methods. Based on the literature, 4 criteria and 6 alternative suppliers taking into account these criteria were determined to make the selection. First of all, the criteria handled by the Entropy method were weighted, and then a ranking was made among the mask suppliers using the TOPSIS method. The findings of the study show that the most important criterion among the discussed criteria is “Reusability” (K1). After the ranking, it was concluded that the most suitable mask supplier among the alternatives was "Supplier 2" (T2). Evaluating these criteria in the mask supplier selection process helps businesses create a safer, more efficient and sustainable supply chain. Making more conscious and correct decisions in the selection process also contributes to increasing customer satisfaction and business reputation.

Yeniden Kullanılabilir Maskeler için Çevre Dostu Tedarikçi Seçimi: Entropi Tabanlı TOPSIS Yöntemi ile Bir Uygulama
