Globalisation and international investment decisions have created a need for users of financial information to be able to interpret and compare financial information across borders. IFRS have been developed to meet this need and Turkey has also made efforts to conform to these standards. In this context, a survey was conducted among 269 accounting professionals working for companies shares in which are traded on the BIST with a view to determining the views of accounting professionals and investigate the relationship between these views and demographic factors. Analyses of the findings revealed that the views of the accounting professionals concerning the standards were related to demographic factors.
