Dental Girişimler Öncesinde Enfektif Endokardit Profilaksisi – Olgu Sunumu

Öz

Özet

Enfektif endokardit (EE) oluşumunda genel predispozanfaktör, endokardit oluşturabilecek organizmalarla bakteriyemi varlığında, altta yatan kalpteki bir yapısal bozukluğun varlığıdır. Bu tür hastalara dental işlemler öncesinde uygun serum antibiyotik konsantrasyonu elde edilecek şekilde EEprofilaksisi verilmesi gerekliliği bilinmektedir. Bu makalede, dişhekimi tarafından aile hekimine EE profilaksisi ve doz ayarlanması istemiyle gönderilen bir hastaya yaklaşım anlatılarak konunun güncel literatür eşliğinde hatırlanmasını hedefledik.

Prophylaxis For Infective Endocarditis Before Dental Procedures- A Case Report

Abstract

The usual precondition for developing endocarditis is an underlying structural heart defect in the presence of bacteremia with organisms that can cause endocarditis. It is known that these patients need to be given endocarditis prophylaxis in doses that are sufficient to ensure adequate antibiotic concentrations in the serum perioperatively. In this paper, we aimed to remind the topic, in consideration of current literature by figuring out the approach to a patient that has been sent by a dentist to a family practitioner demanding the adjustment in endocarditis prophylaxis regime.
