She graduated from Ege University Department of Horticulture Faculty of Agriculture in 2000. She received her M.Sc. in 2002 and Ph.D. in 2011 from Ege University Department of Horticulture. She worked at Ege University Department of Horticulture Faculty of Agriculture as research assistant between the years 2006-2010. She has been working as a reseacher at Aegean Agricultural Research Institute since 2010. Her researches mainly on cultivation and conservation of mushroom genetic resources. Besides, she has been involved to research projects related to conservation of plant genetic resources material by using ex-situ conservation methods such as in vitro and cryopreservation.

She graduated from the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Ege University in 2007. She completed her MSc degree in 2011 at the same university in the Animal Breeding within the Department of Animal Science, and earned her PhD degree in 2024 in the Division of Biometry and Genetics, Department of Animal Science, Ege University.

The researcher was born in Kocaeli in 1982. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Bolu. He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Animal Science in 2004, having started his undergraduate studies in 2000. He completed his master's degree in Animal Science at Ankara University, Institute of Science in 2006, and his doctorate in Animal Science at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Institute of Science in 2025. Having experience in the private sector between 2004 and 2011, the researcher was appointed as the Director of the Beekeeping Research Institute in 2011 and as the Director of the Aegean Agricultural Research Institute in 2022. The researcher, who has national and international publications, is involved in many Ministry and foreign-funded projects. Fluent in English, the researcher is married and has two children.

Rustamov Nazar Sarvar ogli was born in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan in 1990. Graduated from school with honors and entered the Tashkent State Agrarian University on a grant basis. Received a bachelor's degree in Management speciality. During his undergraduate studies, he was awarded a presidential scholarship. After graduating from his bachelor's degree with honors in 2015, he entered the master's program in the specialty Breeding and Seed Production. Having completed his master's degree with honors, he entered the doctoral program. In 2021, he defended his dissertation and received a PhD degree. From 2022 to 2024, he headed the national Genebank of agricultural seeds. Since 2025, he has been heading the laboratory of Introduction and agricultural technology of medicinal plants.

Dr. Senay Simsek is a professor and department head at Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry in 1998, masters degree in biochemistry from Gebze Technical University in 2000 in Turkey, and a Ph.D. in food science from Purdue University (2006). After 15 years working in the Plant Sciences Dept. at North Dakota State University (NDSU), she has moved to her current position as department head, professor, and Dean’s Chair in Food Science at Purdue University in July 2021. Dr. Simsek is a grain/ food chemist, and her research spans plant sciences, food science, and analytical chemistry. She has developed a research program on the integration of grain quality with the structure-function relationships of carbohydrates. Her program focuses on value-adding strategies for grains and their by-products. The goal of her group is to increase the utilization of cereal crops while finding innovative applications for carbohydrates (starch and non-starch polysaccharides). To achieve this goal, Dr. Simsek has aimed to integrate partnerships between producers, scientists, and food processors to optimize research potential and develop novel cereal carbohydrate-derived functional ingredients.
She has authored and co-authored numerous research papers and conference contributions in the area of grain quality and carbohydrate chemistry. She is an active member of the Institute of Food Technologists, Cereals & Grains Association, and Wheat Quality Council. The first North Dakota State University Bert L. D’Appolonia Endowed Professorship in Cereal Science and Technology was awarded to Dr. Simsek in Aug 2013. She has been awarded the International Young Scientist Research Award (2013) and the International Excellence in Teaching Award (2019) by the Cereals & Grains Association. In 2020, Dr. Simsek was awarded the Andersons Cereals and Oilseeds Award of Excellence by NC-213 U.S. Quality Grains Research Consortium. Recently, she received the 2022 Purdue University’s Distinguished Alumni Award.
Simsek is an inspirational teacher and advisor, and her deep understanding of industries and challenges around the world has created successful research partnerships at a global scale.

Dr. habil. Cristina Bianca Pocol is a professor in the Department of Animal Production and Food Safety in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca (Romania) where she teaches Rural Economy. Her research interests include the sustainable development of rural space by beekeeping practices and other agricultural and non-agricultural activities, the marketing of bee products, the food consumer behaviour, and the ecological approach of agri-food sector. She coordinated numerous research, educational and institutional development projects in the field of agri-food chain, nutrition, food security, professional training and entrepreneurship. She is a member of the Association of European Economists in Agriculture and of the French Society of Rural Economy. She is responsible of Francophone Office of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca and member of the Regional Commission of Experts of the Francophone University Agency in Central and Eastern Europe (AUF ECO).

I was born as a farmer son in a big village in Trakya Region which is in the European part of Turkey. In 1987, I graduated from Faculty of Agriculture in Bursa, Turkey I started to work in the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture in 1990, at the extension service of Aksaray Province in Middle Anatolia as Specialist in field crops. During my stay in the National Agricultural Extension service, in a Research Project funded by World Bank (1990-1994), I was a responsible person for the managing, planning and programming of province extension plans as well conducting many demos and field trials in farmer conditions. I also participated in many courses related to production techniques of field crops. After my appointment to Trakya Agricultural Research Institute-Edirne in 1994, I started to work in National Sunflower Project (1994-1998). I did M Sc in University of Nebraska - Lincoln US in 1996-1998, and later on Ph D in Trakya University in 1999-2001 on sunflower breeding. In December 1998, I became National Sunflower Project Leader and National Sunflower Research Coordinator. I have worked also as Technical Director, Administrative Director and head of Breeding and Genetic Department in Trakya Agricultural Research Institute between 2001 and 2013. I was responsible for conducting experiments, improving and developing new inbred lines and cultivars; sunflower hybrid breeding; developing lines ressistant to sunflower pests and diseases, as well Orobanche. In addition, I started several national oil crops projects. As deputy director of that institute, I was managing research projects, training researchers and technical personnel, and organizing meetings. I did Post Doctorate on sunflower molecular Breeding in USDA Sunflower Research Unit at Fargo, ND in US in 2004. I became Associated Professor on industrial crops in June 2011.

I developed many sunflower inbred lines and hybrids registered then sold in Turkey and other countries as research leader in National Sunflower Program during the instiute.

After leaving from Trakya Agricultural Research Institute, in December 2013, I started to work in Trakya University as Associated Professor. In April 2014, I became director of Plant Breeding Research Center in Trakya University. In July 2014, I was appointed as Head of Genetic and Bioengineering Department, Engineering Faculty, Trakya University. Since November 2016, I am Full Professor in the Genetic and Bioengineering Department.

I am founder and partner of also a research company Trakya Genetics R&D Co. in Takya University Technopark as authorized private research company on field and vegetable crops conducting breeding programs on oil and confectionery sunflower, corn, rice, wheat, barley, confectionery pumpkin, and some other crops and also other research studies on plant genetics and genetic engineering. We have developed and continue to develop new cultivars in different crops and then give the seed companies to produce in Turkey and other countries.

At National level, I was founder and former President of Turkish Plant Breeders Association. I have been associated editor of some agricultural journals. I have been taking part in evaluation of scientific projects and Research Meetings. I am also Board Member of Turkish Seed Union. In May 2014, I became President of Turkish Plant Breeders Sub Union.

At International level, I am former President of International Sunflower Association (http://www.isa.cetiom.fr) situated in Paris, France, the president of Balkan Seed Association, President of International Researcher Association and board member of Black Sea Biotechnology Association (www.bsba.ag/) in Sofia, Bulgaria. I am president of Balkan Seed Association and International Researchers Association and I am also the research coordinator of FAO Sunflower Network since 2010 to present. I organized many plant breeding, statistical analysis and experimental designs courses, as well as over thirty International conferences and symposiums. I am invited speakers of over forty national and international meetings. I have served in scientific committee of many international symposiums and conferences until today. I am serving also on editorial boards of some scientific journals. I have published more than 380 papers in scientific journals, as well having book chapters in several books, etc. In 2014, I was awarded Doctorate of Honoris Causa from the University of Moldova's Academy of Sciences. In 2022, I was awarded the Pustovoit Prize, given every four years by the World Sunflower Association and considered as the Nobel Prize for sunflowers. In 2022, I was awarded the Science Award by the Turkish Chamber of Agricultural Engineers for contributing to the national and international scientific community. In 2024, I was awarded the Public University-Industry Cooperation Award by Trakya University for his contributions to university-industry cooperation. He is a member and actively involved in numerous national and international associations.

Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi, Ziraat fakültesi Tarla Bitkileri Bölümü mezunuyum. Doktora Eğitimimi İngiltere'de tamamladım. Macaristan'da Biyoteknoloji Araştırma Enstitüsünde Kloroplatlar aracılığıyla gen transferi ile ilgi olarak Post-doktor olarak çalıştım. Almanya Tarım bakanlığı'da biyoçeşitliliğin kullanılması ile fakirliğin azaltılması konusunda eğim aldım. Çeşitli ülkelerde kısa süreli eğitimlere katıldım. Halen OMU Ziraat fakültesi Tarla Bitkileri Bölümünde Öğretim Üyesi, Bölüm Başkanı, Anabilim Dalı Başkanı olarak gören yapmaktayım. 

1984 yılında Kimya Mühendisliği Bölümü'nden mezun oldu. Biri Kimya Mühendisliği, diğeri Eczacılık olmak üzere iki yüksek lisans mezunudur.

Doktorasını Kimya Mühendisliğinde tamamlayarak aynı yıl Anadolu Üniversitesi Eczacılık Fakültesi Farmakognozi Anabilim Dalı'nda Asistan oldu.

TBAM (Tıbbi ve Aromatik Bitki ve İlaç Araştırma Merkezi)'ın ilk kuruluşundan itibaren 19 yıl görev yaptıktan sonra 2005-2015 yıllarında merkezden ayrılarak Eczacılık Fakültesi Farmakognozi Anabilim Dalı'na döndü. 2016-2022 yılları arasında tekrar aynı merkezin iki dönem Merkez Müdürlüğü görevini yaptıktan sonra fakültedeki görevine geri döndü.

Başlıca araştırma alanları arasında laboratuvar ve endüstriyel ölçekte uçucu yağ üretiminin yanı sıra klasik ve modern ekstraksiyon teknikleri (SFE-CO2, MW vb.) ile üretim ve fraksiyonlama çalışmaları bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca GC, GC/MS, MD-GC/MS, UPC2, FT-IR, NMR gibi sofistike analitik teknikler, ticari ölçekli distilasyon, fraksksiyonlama ve ekstraksiyon sistemlerinin tasarımı çalışmaları bulunmaktadır.

TÜBİTAK, FAO, UNIDO ve ICS gibi ulusal ve uluslararası programlarda eğitim programları düzenlemenin yanı sıra danışmanlıklar yapmış ve yapmaya devam etmektedir.

2009-2014 yılları arasında TÜBİTAK COST Action CM0804 Yönetim Komitesi Üyesi oldu.

Uluslararası hakemli dergilerde 200’den fazla yayını ile uluslararası 5 ve ulusal 3 kitap bölüm yazarlığı ve editörlüğü bulunmaktadır.

2012-2016' yılları arasında “Records of Natural Products” dergisinin Doğal Ürünler / Esansiyel Yağlar alan editörlüğünü yaptı.

Sağlık Bakanlığı, Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığı ile Sanayi Bakanlığı’na bağlı değişik komisyonlarda görevler yaptı ve yapmaya devam etmektedir.

Nusret Zencirci is a graduate of Çukurova University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Field Crops. He worked as a wheat breeder in the Central Research Institute for Field Crops, Ankara. He served as a national and international coordinator for national and international wheat programs and the International Winter Wheat Improvement Program. He is a professor - retired- now at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, Science and Art Faculty, Biology Department, Bolu, Turkey. He is a member of various editorial boards in many international journals. He is, with his team, breeder of 22 bread and durum wheat cultivars. His research interests are Cereals, Biotic and Abiotic Stresses, Plant Genetic Resources, and Wheat Breeding.

I was born in İzmir in 04.10.1963 as a son of Mr. Bekir ULUKAN.

28.11.1965 Çanakkale doğumlu olan Prof. Dr. Türker SAVAŞ, tavuklarda yumurta verimi genetik ıslahı konulu doktora tezi ile 1998 yılında Almanya Kiel Üniversitesi’nden mezun oldu. 1999 Yılında Trakya Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Zootekni Bölümü Hayvan Yetiştirme Anabilim Dalı’na yardımcı doçent olarak atandı. 2000 Yılında Doçent olan Prof. Dr. Türker SAVAŞ, aynı yıl Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Zootekni Bölümü Hayvan Yetiştirme Anabilim Dalı’na atandı. 2006 yılında Profesörlüğe yükseltilen Prof. Dr. Türker SAVAŞ “Hayvan Islahı ve Genetiği” konusunda uzman olmakla birlikte hayvan davranışları, hayvan refahı ve küçükbaş hayvancılık üretim sistemleri üzerine çalışmaları ile biliniyor. Son yıllarda üretim sistemleri ve hayvan sağlığı konularına da ilgi duyan Prof. Dr. Türker SAVAŞ'ın 80’nin üzerinde bilimsel makalesi ve uluslararası ve ulusal toplantılarda sunulmuş 150'nin üzerinde bildirisi bulunmaktadır. Prof. Dr. Türker Savaş Aralık 2013’ ile Aralık 2019 yılları arasında Ziraat Mühendisleri Odası Çanakkale Şube Başkanı, TMMOB Çanakkale İl Koordinasyon Kurulu Sekreteri ve Çanakkale Çevre Platformu Sözcüsü olarak da görev yapmıştır. Dr. Savaş, temsil ettiği STK’ların termik santrallere karşı bir politika izlemeleri doğrultusunda, Çanakkale yerelinde çeşitli kurul ve toplantılarda çevre dostu alternatif enerji üretim sistemlerini destekleyen politikalar oluşturulması için gayret etmiştir.
