Anatolian Journal of Health Research follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published work. The editorial workflow includes the following stages:
1. Preliminary Review:
All submissions are first assessed by the editorial team for relevance to the journal’s scope, adherence to author guidelines, and ethical standards. Non-compliant manuscripts are returned without external review.
2. Plagiarism Screening:
Manuscripts are screened using iThenticate software. Submissions with a similarity rate above 15% are subject to further review by the editorial board.
3. Peer Review:
Manuscripts that pass the initial checks are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate the scientific quality, originality, clarity, and ethical compliance of the manuscript.
4. Editorial Decision:
Based on reviewer feedback, the editor may decide to: Accept the manuscript, request revisions or reject the manuscript.
A third reviewer may be consulted when necessary.
5. Revisions:
Authors are expected to submit revised manuscripts along with a response to reviewers’ comments within the specified deadline. Revised versions may be re-evaluated by reviewers.
6. Final Decision and Publication:
Accepted manuscripts undergo final editing and typesetting before being published online in the relevant issue.
The journal adheres to the ethical principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). The editorial process is conducted with transparency, impartiality, and a commitment to academic integrity.
