Kalkınma Göstergeleri Çerçevesinde Yaşam Beklentisinin Yapısal Eşitlik Modeli İle İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu
çalışmada, Türkiye’de yaşayan kişilerin yaşam beklentileri
kalkınma göstergeleri
dikkate alınarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmada, Birleşmiş Milletler Beşeri Kalkınma
İndeksi içerisinde yer alan kalkınma göstergelerinden; Temel makroekonomik
göstergeler ve bireysel sağlık göstergelerinden yararlanılmıştır. Kişi başına
gayrisafi yurtiçi hasıla, ekonomik büyüme, tasarruflar, sabit sermaye
yatırımları gibi ekonomik göstergeler ve yaşam beklentisi, ölüm oranları,
doktor başına düşen nüfus gibi sağlık göstergeleri olmak üzere yedi gösterge
kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada, yaşam beklentisi bağımlı değişken olarak ele alınmış
ve diğer göstergelerin yaşam beklentisine etkileri yapısal eşitlik modeli ile
açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular, ölüm oranı dışında Türkiye’nin
kişi başına düşen gayri safi yurt içi hasıla ekonomik büyüme, sabit sermaye
yatırımları, tasarruf ve doktor başına düşen nüfusun yaşam beklentisi üzerinde
önemli bir etken olduğunu göstermiştir.
