Investigations on Using Protected Protein in Ruminants Nutrition 2. Effects of Protected Proteins Using During the Last Period of Gestation on Liveweight of Ewes and the Growth and Survival Rates of Their Lambs

Abstract

This research was carried out to determine the effects of protected proteins during the last period of gestation in terms of liveweight of ewes and the growth and survival rates of their lambs. Sunflower meal SFM , cottonseed meal CSM and soybean meal SBM were used as protein source. SFM, CSM and SBM treated with formaldehyde at the level of 1.1, 0.9 and 0.6 % of crude protein contents, respectively. 120 heads Merino ewes in the age of 3 years, and the lambs were used as the animal material. The research was started at the beginning of the last 1.5 months period of gestation and continued until the lambs were reached to 60 days age. Ruminantların Beslenmesinde Korunmuş Protein Kullanımı Üzerinde Araştırmalar 2. Korunmuş Proteinlerin Gebeliğin Son Dönemindeki Koyunların Canlı Ağırlıkları ile Kuzuların Büyüme ve Yaşama Güçleri Üzerindeki Etkileri

Abstract

Bu araşt ı rma korunmuş proteinlerin gebeli ğin son dönemindeki koyunlar ı n canl ı ağı rl ığı ile kuzuları n büyüme ve yaşama gücü üzerindeki etkilerinin saptanmas ı amac ı ile düzenlenmiştir. Araşt ı rmada protein kayna ğı olarak ayçiçeği tohumu küspesi ATK , pamuk tohumu küspesi PTK ve soya küspesi SK kullan ı lmışt ı r. ATK, PTK ve SK ham protein içeriklerinin s ı ras ı yla % 1.1, 0.9 ve 0.6' s ı düzeyinde formaldehit ile işlenmiştir. Araşt ı rman ı n hayvan materyalini 3 ya şl ı 120 baş Merinos koyun ve bunlardan do ğan kuzular oluşturmuştur. Araşt ı rmaya koyunları n gebeliklerinin son 1.5 ayl ı k dönemlerinde başlanm ış ve kuzular 60 günlük ya şa ulaşı ncaya kadar devam edilmi ştir.
