PHILOSOPHICAL POSSIBILITY OF SPEECH ABOUT GOD: ' NEGATIVE LANGUAGE OF RELIGION'

Abstract

Since Philo, the philosophy of religion and Theology has been a common perception that God has an existence above all kinds of knowledge and all definitions. Although this understanding is generally philosophically represented, it is supported by Scripture quotations. In this study, we will try to put forward a philosophical approach to the concept of religious language, which is a theological field of study. We will see how philosophers approached the question of the possibility of talking about God and try to put forward the arguments they used to solve the problem. In this respect, our study aims to see the approach of theistic philosophical tradition to the subject and the capacity to produce solutions. The historical detail on the subject has a secondary importance for our study. Therefore, it will be ignored from time to time throughout our study. Throughout our research, religious texts that are part of the sacred of religions will not be used in our study. Because in this study, we wish to see the direction of the philosophical interpretations of natural theology regarding the language of religion and the final analysis in which it is concentrated.

TANRI HAKKINDA KONUŞMANIN FELSEFÎ İMKÂNI: ‘NEGATİF DİN DİLİ’

Abstract

Tanrı'nın her türlü bilginin ve her türlü tanımın üstünde bir varoluşa sahip olduğu, Philo dan beri din felsefesi ve İlahiyat alanında yaygın bir algıdır. Bu anlayış genellikle felsefî olarak temsil edilmiş olsa da Kutsal Kitap alıntılarıyla da desteklenir. Bu çalışmamızda teolojik bir çalışma alanı olan ‘din dili’ kavramına felsefî yaklaşımı ortaya koyma gayreti güdeceğiz. Filozofların tanrıya ilişkin konuşabilmenin imkânı sorununa nasıl yaklaştıklarını görecek ve sorunu çözmekte kullandıkları argümanları ortaya koyma çabası göstereceğiz. Bu yönüyle çalışmamız, teistik fesefe geleneğinin konuya yaklaşımını ve çözüm üretme kapasitesini görmeyi amaçlar. Konuya ilişkin tarihsel detay ise çalışmamız açısından ikincil bir öneme sahiptir. Bu yüzden çalışmamız boyunca zaman zaman görmezden gelinecektir. Araştırmamız boyunca, kutsalının bir parçası olan dini metinler ise çalışmamızda mümkün olduğunca kullanılmayacaktır. Çünkü biz bu çalışmada doğal teolojinin din diline ilişkin felsefî yorumlarının yönünü ve konuya ilişkin nihai analizini görmeyi arzuluyoruz.
