Abstract

4000 yıllık yazılı tarihi, çoklu kültür çeşitliliği, bünyesinde birçok farklı etnik grup barındırması kültür, edebiyat, sanat, eğitim gibi konularda farklı dönemlerde gelişmeler yaşayan günümüz Çin’i ve Çin eğitim sistemini anlamak için tarihi süreç içerisindeki gelişimini ve dönüşümünü anlamak gerekmektedir. Çin eğitim tarihinde bin üç yüz yıldır uygulanan memurluk sınav sistemi Çin’in eğitim sisteminin temelini oluşturmaktadır. Günümüz Çin eğitim sistemini anlamak için uygulandığı dönemden itibaren Çin’i toplumsal ve sosyal anlamda etkileyen memurluk sınav sistemini incelemek gerekmektedir. Memurluk sınav sistemi içerisinde Ming döneminden itibaren uygulanmaya başlayan sekiz aşamalı makale sınavı (八股文) konu içeriğinin Konfuçyüs klasik eserlerine dayandırıldığı edebi türde yazılan makale türüdür. Sekiz aşamalı makale sınavı adayların her dönemde sınırlı karakter kullanmayı gerektiren ve makale konusunu güçlü ve bilge bir üslup ile ifade etmesi gerektiği bir sınav türüdür. Çalışmamızda, Çin’in tarihsel süreç içerisindeki eğitim tarihi, Ming dönemi memurluk sınav sistemi ele alınarak, bu dönemden itibaren uygulanan sekiz aşamalı makale sınavı konu içeriği, formatı, sınav kuralları ve sekiz aşama makalenin her bir süreci ve ilgili sınavın içerdiği anlam incelenecektir.
