Destination Satisfaction of Domestic and Foreign Paragliding Tourists: An AEPA Application

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the satisfaction of paragliding tourists on various destination attributes as well as the influence of each attribute on destination satisfaction by using Asymmetric Impact Performance Analysis (AIPA), which is based on asymmetric relationships. Moreover, differences among the domestic and foreign tourists in terms of their perceptions about destination attributes are examined. The results of the data analysis based on the survey including 408 respondents showed that beach/sea and security/safety were excitement factors with high performance. On the other hand, information, accommodation, entertainment and personnel attributes were identified as basic factors with high performance, while cleanliness, price, shopping and gastronomy attributes were the basic factors with low performance. In addition, the study also reports that there are differences among domestic and foreign tourists in terms of their perceptions about destination attributes.

Yamaç Paraşütü Yapan Yerli ve Yabancı Turistlerin Destinasyon Memnuniyetleri: Bir AEPA Uygulaması

Abstract

Bu çalışma yamaç paraşütü yapan yerli ve yabancı turistlerin çeşitli destinasyon özelliklerine ilişkin memnuniyetleri ve her bir özelliğin destinasyon memnuniyeti üzerindeki etkileriyle asimetrik ilişki varsayımına dayanan Asimetrik-Etki-Performans-Analizi (AEPA) ile değerlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Ayrıca yerli ve yabancı turistlerin destinasyon özelliklerine ilişkin değerlendirme farklılıkları da ortaya koymaktır. Anket tekniği ile toplanan 408 kişiye ait verinin analiz sonuçları plaj/deniz ve güvenlik/emniyet özelliklerinin yüksek performanslı heyecan faktörü olduğunu göstermiştir. Diğer taraftan temizlik, fiyat, alışveriş ve gastronomi düşük performanslı temel faktörler iken, bilgilendirme, konaklama, eğlence ve personel yüksek performanslı temel faktörlerdir. Ayrıca, yerli ve yabancı turistlerin destinasyon özelliklerine ilişkin algıları arasında farklılıklar olduğu da raporlanmıştır.
