As a natural outcome of this case, the number of yaylas in Turkey decreases and many yaylas serve for recreational purposes instead of their conventional functions. In the present study, it was aimed to analyze the current changes in Turkey yayla activities that are clearly observed to be in a significant change in both quantity and quality. For this aim, Turkey yayla activities were dealt with as a whole; the terminology of yayla and yayla activities were evaluated in a framework; and, by analyzing the geographical distribution of yayla activities, their socio-economic outcomes and types of housing, it was aimed to present the process of change in details.
