Abstract

ÖZET
Türk ulusunun seramik malzemeyi sanata dönüştürme geleneği yüzyıllar öncesine dayanmaktadır.
Ancak bu gelenek; öncelikle mimaride verilen örnekler, daha sonra ihtiyaçlar değişkenlik gösterdikçe
yeni alanlar ve biçimler kazanmıştır. Çağdaş Türk seramik sanatının başlangıcı ise cumhuriyet tarihimizle
birlikte varlık gösterir. Bu Yeni kurulan bir devlet, yeni yönetim biçimi ve her açıdan bilgiye, öğrenmeye,
sanata, vs. aç bir toplum demekti. Bu süreç bir çağdaşlaşma, aydınlanma sürecidir ve devlet desteği ile
ilk adımlar atılmıştır. Atılan bu ilk adımların öncüleri olan sanatçılar ve onların yetiştirdiği yeni nesiller,
seramik sanatının çağdaşlaşması yolunda tabi ki geleneğinden ilham almıştır. Ancak sözü edilen gelenek,
sadece Türk ulusuna ait değil Anadolu’nun geçmiş kültürlerini de içinde barındıran, arkeolojik buluntuların
ışığında ortaya çıkan bir zenginliğe de sahiptir. Çağdaş Türk seramik sanatının oluşmasına ve gelişmesine
katkı sağlayanlar, bu zenginliği eserlerinde imgeleştirmişlerdir.

ABSTRACT
The tradition of transforming the ceramic material to an art work in Turkish nation is based on centuries
ago. However, the examples of the architecture that was given primarily within this tradition have been
registered new forms and fields by means of the varied human needs. The beginning of the contemporary
Turkish art displays as to the history of the Turkish Republic. It meant a newly established state, a new form
of government and from every angle having an insatiable desire for knowledge, learning and art, etc. This is
a modernizing and enlightenment process of which first steps have been taken with the support of the state.
The pioneer artists of this first steps and new generations that have been trained by them were inspired from
the tradition of ceramic art in the way of modernization. However, the mentioned tradition, which holds not
only the history of the Turkish nation but also the past cultures of Anatolia has richness that occurred in the
light of archaeological finds. The artists who contribute to the formation and developed the contemporary
Turkish ceramic art have imaged this mentioned richness in their works.
