Abstract

Bu makalede ilk olarak kentin ve alanların oluşumu kuramsal olarak ele alınır. Tarihsellikle gelen kent kavramı, kentin belleği, kültürel yapısı, agoralar, kamusal alan, kamusal alanda heykel ilişkisi irdelenir. Öte yandan insanlığın yaşamsal sürecinde toplum içinde kamusal alanı algılayış biçimi değiştikçe,
sanatsal üretim de, uygulama da değişiklik gösterir. Kamusal sanat, mekânın sanatsal çalışmalarla, sanatsal çalışmanın toplumla, toplumun ise mekânla bütünlüğü, ilişkisi olduğu veya her birinin bir diğerini yarattığı,birbirini yansıttığı çeşitli örneklerle gösterilir.

ABSTRACT
In this article, the theoretical background of the formation of the city and urban spaces will be reviewed. Then, the relations between the sculptures in public spaces, the city, its cultural structure, urban memory, the agora and public spaces will be discussed. On the other hand, artistic production and practice is transformed as the society’s perception of the public sphere changes. The relations and the integrity between public space and works of art, works of
art and the society, the society and public spaces will be demonstrated with examples.
