Abstract
The aim of this study is to evaluate and compare the level of job satisfaction of school teachers
who are working in the public and private schools. A sample of 300 respondents was selected for the
purpose of the study consisting of 120 private school teachers and 180 public school teachers. The
tools chosen were Likert’s summated scaling techniques and interview schedule. The investigation
focused on teachers’ perception. It was found evidence that there is a significant difference
between public and private school teachers in the level of job satisfaction in accordance with
several variables.
