Üniversite Öğrencilerinde Pozitiflik ve Psikolojik İyi Oluş Arasındaki İlişkide Umudun Aracı Rolü

Abstract

Üniversite öğrencilerinde pozitiflik ile psikolojik iyi oluş arasındaki ilişkide umudun anlamlı aracı
değişken rolüne sahip olup olmadığını ortaya koymak üzere nicel araştırma metodolojisine
dayalı olarak yapılandırılan bu çalışma ilişkisel araştırma modeline uygun biçimde kurgulanmıştır.
Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, Doğu Anadolu ve İç Anadolu Bölgesi’nde yer alan iki farklı üniversitede
öğrenim gören ve araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılan 339 üniversite öğrencisinden meydana gelmektedir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu oluşturan üniversite öğrencilerinin 263’ü kadın (%77,6),
76’sı erkektir (% 22,4). Bunun yanında araştırmanın çalışma grubunda yer alan öğrencilerin yaşları
18 ile 33 arasında dağılım göstermekte olup çalışma grubunda yer alan üniversite öğrencilerinin
yaş ortalaması 20,60 (Ss=2,15) olarak hesaplanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu belirlenirken
uygun örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin toplanması amacıyla Psikolojik İyi
Oluş Ölçeği, Pozitiflik Ölçeği, Sürekli Umut Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu olmak üzere 4 farklı veri
toplama aracı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizine ilk olarak veri setindeki kayıp ve/veya hatalı veriler incelenerek başlanmıştır. Kayıp verilerin incelenmesinden sonra ise veri setinde yer alan uç
değerler ile dağılımın normalliği incelenmiştir. Araştırma değişkenlerine ilişkin puanların normal
dağılım özelliği taşıdığına karar verildikten sonra ilk olarak araştırma değişkenlerine ilişkin betimsel analizler gerçekleştirilmiş ve daha sonra değişkenler arası ilişkiler Pearson Momentler Çarpımı
Korelasyon Analizi ile incelenmiştir. Araştırma değişkenleri arasında anlamlı ilişkiler bulunduğu
belirlendikten sonra ise üniversite öğrencilerinde umudun pozitiflik ile psikolojik iyi oluş arasındaki
ilişkide anlamlı aracı değişken rolüne sahip olup olmadığı, regresyon temelli aracılık modeli kurularak test edilmiştir. Test edilen aracılık modeli ile ortaya konulan dolaylı etkinin anlamlılığına kanıt
sağlamak amacıyla bootstrapping prosedüründen de yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen
sonuçlar, çalışma kapsamında ele alınan tüm değişkenlerin birbirleri ile pozitif yönlü ve anlamlı
biçimde ilişkili olduğunu ve üniversite öğrencilerinde pozitiflik ve psikolojik iyi oluş arasındaki ilişkide umudun anlamlı aracı değişken rolü üstlendiğini ortaya çıkarmıştır
