The purpose of this study is to examine friendship relations between college students, the meaning of membership in friendship groups, causes, criteria, factors and continuity of conflicting opinions regarding the students. The study group was comprised of 20 participants (11 females; 9 male). The collection of data in the process of open-ended questions was posed to the interviewe. Research concerning data was collected from October to November 2013. Primarily analysis of the data was coded with similar codes, and was gathered under a theme. Codes and themes expressed in the form of tables and the results are given to commentary. Qualitative data was digitized. Provided comments were more meaningful and understandable. According to research findings, the meaning of friendship groups were seen as the highest frequency, with shared environment, a community of people with common interests and unity of purpose categories. It is seen that the “membership to share” in the student opinion on Peer-friendship groups take the first rank. Two other important causes are “a good time” and “escape from loneliness”. Students at the entrance to the attention of the peer - friendship groups are located firstly “honesty”. These opinions are followed by “respect” and “solidarity”. Honesty, respect and cooperation are regarded as important features for students. In group of friends most conflicting factors are located as “interests of conflicting” and “deceit”. In group of friends highest frequency category is seen as “respect”. This concept is followed by trust, selflessness and tolerance.
