Abstract

ÖZET : Kars kentinde artan kentleşme hareketlerine bağlı olarak halkın rekreasyonel alanlara olan ihtiyacı da artmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Kars kent merkezindeki halkın rekreasyonel talep ve eğilimleri anketle belirlenmeye çalışılmış ve x2 testi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Anket sonuçlarına göre; kent halkının %39’unun ev dışındaki kapalı mekanlarda rekreasyonel aktivitelere katıldığı, yapılan aktivite çeşidinin meslek durumuna göre değiştiği ancak eğitim durumuna bağlı olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Yine kent halkının % 90’ı, kentteki yeşil alanları ve spor olanaklarını yetersiz bulurken, % 87’si çocuk oyun alanlarının sayı ve kapasite olarak ihtiyacı karşılamaktan uzak olduklarını belirtmişlerdir. Bu çalışma sonucunda Kars kent merkezindeki mevcut rekreasyonel ünitelerin tesis ve işletme bakımından yetersiz oldukları, halkın taleplerini karşılayamadıkları saptanmıştır.

ABSTRACT : The need of people for recreational areas increase depending on increasing urbanization movement in the city of Kars. In this study, the recreational demands and trends of the people living in the center were determined by using questionnaire method. The data obtained from the questionnaires were evaluated with the aid of the x2 test. According to the results, it was determined that the 39 % of the people joined the recreational activities varied held in closed places outside home; the diversity of the activities varied depending on profession as independent on educational level. The 90 % of the people thought that the green spaces and sport fields in the city center was not enough, as the 87 % remarked that children play area did not meet the requirement in quantity and capacity. In conclusion, it was determined that the available recreational units in the city center of Kars were not sufficient in terms of installation and management.
