Summary
The Energy Sourees Used in The Villages Around Erzurum, Aşkale, Pasinler and Horasan and The Proper Energy Planning in Thee Same Area
At present in all the developed
eountries it is all planned as which
energiy resources theyare goinğ to
use and how. Espeeially eountries
where the economy İs mainly based
upon agricu1ture, İt has been very
important problem to find the kind
of energy which will be most suitable.
for various agricu1turul activities. The
countries which have solved this problem
are included in the developed group
and those which have not are eonsidered
underdeveloped eountries.
At the developing eountries, in
almost aıı the agrieultural activities,
animals and labour force are generaııy
used. For heating viııage and fa rm houses
wood and manure are used for fuel.
Against this meehanical, wind and
and electrjcal energy is very little
used. Biogases and solar energy is not
used at alL.
With regards to energy used at
agrieulture in Turkey is classified as
an underdeveloped eountry. For an
example in 1960 75 per cent the total
population of the eountry was engaged
in agrieulture. While in the United
states this figure was only 7 per cent.
During the same year average specific
electrjcal energy used in agriculture
was at the value of 0.2 kWh per year,
while in European was 133 kWh
per year. At the external agriculture
in 1959, the availability of mechanical
energy was 0.058 (BG-hour) while in
the same year European average was
(0.7 BO-hour). For heating village
and farm houses only wood and manure
is being used. Therefore with regards
to heating the village and farm houses
there are big gaps between us and
those in the developed countries.
This research is study on the
situation of the energy recources used
at the villages of Erzurum main, Aşkale,
Pasinler and Horasan countries.
After present situalion has been s.tudied
thoroughly is has been compared with
Turkeyand with some of the developed
countries. At certain agricultural activities,
the utilities of animal, labour
and tractor have been evaIuated.
The heating value of manure, which
is used for heating the viIJage and f~rm
house, was (kcal/kg) type. The heat
provided by the earth ovens which
aıe used for cooking purposed in the
villages have been increased and
were compared. With stoves which
were used for heating purposes. Later
on a plan was made, an how various
energy res our,ces available to the
villages can be uLilized best.
The most important factor is that
what kind of energy source should be
used in a specific vilIage of 'the region
of the region should be known. It is
only under these conditions that a
quick agricultural progress could be
accoplishen, and only under these
be accoınplished, and only under these
conditions we can prövide a better
standard of living for the agricultural
people.
