ÖZET
Mısır,Buğday,Arpa,Yulaf ile soya küspesi, pamuk tohumu küspesi
ve ayçiçeği küspelerinin değişik kombinasyonlardan oluşan rasyonlarta ve
günlük civcivlerle dört haftalık üç deneme tertiplenmiştir. Denemelerde
kullanılan. rasyonların enerji düzeyleri 3200 k callkg.'a, protein düzeyleri
SUMMARY
The Biological Values of The Proteins of Some Cereals and of Their Various Combinations witb Some Oil Meals in Different Proportions in Chiek Diets.
Three experiments were conducted
with chicks to study the biological
values of the proteins of some
cereals (com, wheat, barleyand oat)
- oil meals (cottonseed, soybean and
. sunflower) combinations İn dİfferent
proportions in' the diets of chicks.
eriterion used to evaluate the
results was The Protein Efficiency
Ratio (PER.) .
All experiments were conducted
with day-old male and female Hubbard
chicks. The chicks were maintained in
electrically heated battery broodeıs ra~
ised wirefloors throughout the fourweek
experimental period. Normal
starting chiek ratian were used in the
first week, after .that the experimental
diets were supplied. The diets and water
were s.upplied ad fibi/um. The level
of the erude protein in all expirmenta!
diets were twelve pereent and the metabolic
energy level was 3200 kcal
per kg. of diets.
Data obtained from three experiments
indicated that :
1. There were no sigrtificant
differenees among eereals used in three
experiments relative to the biolgoical
value of proteins.
2. There were highly significant
( P < 0,01) differences among the
P. ER. values of diffferent oil mea!s.
The differences among the levels of oil
meals were significant ( P < 0,05).
3. There was apparently no interaction
between the cereals and the
levels of the oil meals. The cereals x
oil meals; the oil meals x the level of oil
meals interactions were highly significianL
4. All oil meals were tound significantly
different from other in the
LSD test. .
In this test the average highest value
was obtained by soybean meal and this
was followed by sunflower meal and
cottonseed meal respectively.
