ÖZET
Bu araştırma 1988 ve 1989 yıllarında Erzurum koşullarında
yapılmıştır. Araştırmada, yörede yaygın olarak yetiştirilen ve yatmaya karşı hassas
olan Tokak 157137 çeşidi kullanılmış ve ekim yazlık olarak yapılmıştır. Dört değişik
cycocel (Chlorcholinchlorid) 0.0, 0.2, 0.4 ve 0.6 l/da) ve dört değişik azot (0,4, 8 ve
12 kg/da) miktarları uy ulanarak bu uygulamaların; toplam verim, tane verimi,
başaktaki tane sayısı ve tane ağırlığı ile sap uzunluğu üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır.
Azotun toplam verim, tane verimi ve sap uzunulğu üzerindeki etkileri önemli
olmuştur. Cycocelin toplam ve tane verimi üzerindeki etkisi önemsiz, sap uzunluğu
üzerindeki etkisi ise önemli bulunmuştur. Cycocel sap uzunluğunu azaltmış, fakat
yatmanın önlenmesi yönünden etkili olamamıştır. Azot ve cycocelin, başaktaki tane
sayısı ve tane ağırlığı üzerindeki etkileri önemsiz olmuştur. Araştırmadan elde edilen
bulgular, benzer koşullarda, 4-8 kg/da azot uygulamasının yeterli, Tokak 157/37
çeşidinde yatmanın önlenmesi bakımından cycocel uygulamanın yararsız oludğunu
ortaya koymuştur.
THE RESPONSE OF BARLEY VARIETY TOKAK 157/37 TO
CYCOCEL AND NITROGEN APPLICATIONS IN ERZURUM
CONDITIONS
SUMMARY
This field trial was carried o ut in 1988 and 1989 in Erzurum
conditions. Barley variety Tokak 157/37, commonly cultivated in the region and susceptible to lodging, was used. The planting was done in the spring. Four doses each of cycocel (chlorcholinchlorid) (0.0, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6) and nitrogen (0,4, 8 and 12 kg/da) were applied. Thefırst halfoftotal amount of nitrogen was applied prior planting. The other half was broadcast at the stem elongation. Cycocel application
was made at the beginnirıg of stem elongation. A split plot design with four replications was used. Nitrogen and cycocel treatments were on main plots and
subplots, respectively. Their effects on the total and grain yields, seed number and seed weight per head and culm height were recorded.
The effects of the nitrogen on the grain and total yields and culm height were signifıcant. The effects of the cycocel on the grain and total yields were insignificant, w hile its effect on the culm height \vas signifıcant. The effects of the cycocel on the grain and total yields were insignificant, while its effect on the culm height was signifıcant. although cycocel decreased the culm height, it was not effective for lodging control. The nitrogen and cycocel applications had no influence on the seed number and seed weight per head. The data indicate t hat under the environmental conditions of this study, the nitrogen application of 4 to 8 kg/da is sufficient and cycocel application does not benefıt for lodging control in barley variety Tokak 157137.
