Atlas Journal of Medicine (Atlas University Journal of Medicine) aims to contribute to the scientific literature by publishing high-quality and original studies in the fields of medicine and health sciences at national and international levels. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, case reports, image presentations, and letters to the editor related to both basic and clinical sciences.
The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, molecular biology, genetics, biotechnology, and biomedical applications. In addition, the journal covers a wide range of health-related disciplines such as nursing, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, nutrition and dietetics, health education, health management, sports health, health economics, health informatics, public health, and other allied health sciences.
Atlas Journal of Medicine particularly encourages interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research that bridges basic sciences and clinical practice, including translational and bench-to-bedside studies. The journal also welcomes studies addressing current and emerging topics in health sciences, such as artificial intelligence in medicine, digital health applications, biomedical data science, and precision and personalized medicine.
Atlas Journal of Medicine is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal that applies a double-blind peer-review process. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial evaluation followed by review by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.
Only manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere are accepted for evaluation. Authors are responsible for the scientific content of their work.
All studies involving human participants must have approval from an institutional ethics committee and must be conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. For animal studies, compliance with relevant national and international ethical standards is required. Informed consent must be obtained for case reports and image presentations where applicable.
The journal adheres to the principles of publication ethics and follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). For specific study types, internationally accepted reporting guidelines are encouraged, including PRISMA for systematic reviews and meta-analyses, CONSORT for randomized controlled trials, STROBE for observational studies, and CARE for case reports.
The journal aims to serve clinicians, researchers, academicians, and health professionals by providing a reliable platform for the dissemination of scientific knowledge in medicine and health sciences.
The official languages of the journal are Turkish and English.
