Abstract

Bu çalışmada mesleki kararsızlık içinde bulunan lise I. sınıf öğrencilerini tespit etmek amacıyla bir envanter geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Mesleki Karar Envanteri(MKE), çok boyutlu bir yaklaşım izlenerek, mesleki kararsızlık içinde bulunan bireylerde, karar verme aşaması öncesinde en çok görülen 5 özellik dikkate alınarak geliştirilmiştir. Daha sonra ilgili literatürdeki envanterlerden uygun maddeler seçilerek, belirlenen 5 faktöre göre yeni maddeler yazılmıştır. Envanter 30 maddeden oluşmaktadır. Mesleki Karar Envanterinde bulunan 5 faktör şu şekilde oluşmaktadır; 1. İçsel çatışmalar, 2. Kendini yeterince tanımama, 3. Meslek ve alan bilgisi eksikliği, 4. Meslek seçimine ilişkin akılcı olmayan inançlar, 5. Dışsal çatışmalar. Mesleki Karar Envanteri üzerinde yapılan geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları sonucunda, geliştirilen envanterin lise öğrencilerinin mesleki kararsızlık düzeylerini tespit etmede yeterli bir envanter olduğu sonucu bulunmuştur. Envanterin psikolojik danışma ve rehberlik hizmetlerinin verildiği orta öğretim kurumlarında, mesleki kararsızlık içinde bulunan öğrencilerin tespit edilmesinde kullanılabileceği belirtilmiştir

The Development of Career Decision Inventory

Abstract

This study aims to develop an inventory which is designed to determine the first grade high school students who are in a state of indecision. The inventory of career decision was developed following a multi approach design and bearing in mind the five mostly seen characteristics which occur prior to decision making in the individuals who are in a state of indecision. Later the appropraite items were seleceted from the inventories in the literature and new items were written. The inventory consists of 30 items. The five items in the career decision inventory is as follows: 1. İnternal conflicts 2. Lack of self knowledge 3. Lack of occupation and field knowledge 4. İrrrational beliefs about career choice 5. External conflicts. As a result of the validity and reliability tests on career decision inventory, it has been found that the inventory which has been developed is appropriate in determining the level of career indecision of high school students. İt has been pointed out that the inventory can be used in determing the students who are in a state of career indecision, in the secondary education institutions where counselling and guidance are provided
