FISCAL THEORY OF NATION STATE FORMATION: A “CLASS BASED” FISCAL SOCIOLOGICAL APPROACH

Abstract

The aim of this study is to explore the role of taxes in the formation of nation states in respect to “class based” fiscal sociology. The paper analyes the differences of the formation of the nation states based on the Brenner’s concept of political accumulation. The paper argues that these differences are the concequences of different class structures which the nations have rather than the geographical, etnicity and cultural causes

Abstract

Ulus devlet kurulum süreçlerinde vergilerin oynadığı rolü inceleyen bu çalışmada Ulus Devlet Kurulumu “sınıf temelli” mali sosyolojik bir bakışla incelenmiştir. Brenner’in siyasal birikim kavramından hareketle çalışmada Ulus Devlet Kurulumu’ndaki farklılıklar coğrafi, etnik ve kültürel nedenlerden ziyade ülkelerin sahip oldukları farklı sınıf yapılarının bir sonucu olarak ele alınmıştır
