A Research on Use of Information Technologies in Accounting Education

Abstract

      The
International Accounting Accreditation Standards published by AACSB (The
Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) for the educational institutions,
express the necessity of using information technology in accounting education.
Prezi has recently been one of the accounting information technologies that is
often used in education. The purpose of the study is to measure the level of perception
on the students who take accounting courses and use Prezi in accounting
education. For this purpose, a questionnaire study was carried out for students
who used and not used Prezi in accounting courses. It is evident that the use
of Prezi in accounting education helps students understand accounting courses
better. They are satisfied with the tools and equipment used, and that the
lessons become more interesting and entertaining.

Muhasebe Eğitiminde Bilgi Teknolojileri Kullanımı Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract

      Eğitim
kurumlarına yönelik olarak AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools
of Business) tarafından yayınlanan Uluslararası Muhasebe Akreditasyon
Standartları, muhasebe eğitiminde bilgi teknolojilerinin kullanılmasının
gerekliliğini ifade etmektedir. Prezi, eğitimde son zamanlarda sıklıkla
kullanılan muhasebe bilgi teknolojilerinden birisidir. Çalışmanın amacı
muhasebe eğitiminde Prezi kullanımının muhasebe dersi alan öğrenciler üzerinde
algı düzeyinin ölçülmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, muhasebe derslerinde Prezi
kullanılan ve kullanılmayan öğrencilere yönelik bir anket çalışması
gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan araştırma neticesinde görülmektedir ki, muhasebe
eğitiminde Prezi’nin kullanılması sayesinde öğrenciler muhasebe derslerini daha
iyi anladıklarını, kullanılan araç ve gereçten memnun olduklarını ve derslerin
daha ilgi çekici ve eğlenceli hale geldiğini ifade etmektedirler.
