This article argues that the model of deliberative democracy is a considerable solution in the face of seeking an alternative system owing to the fact that liberal democracy which is widely implemented as a political system remains insufficient to overcome the problems encountered by present societies and creates legitimacy crisis. In accordance with this aim, in the article firstly the problems by which liberal democracy is currently challenged are discussed, secondly the proposals which may possibly overcome the problems of liberal democracy are discussed and the system of liberal democracy as a model is introduced. In the section of conclusion, the problems which the deliberative democracy may produce are emphasised but it is also held that these problems can be overcome.
