The purpose of this article is to examine the reasons of the electorate voting for the political parties on the basis of factors such as “ideology”, “leader”, “party achievements” and “candidates” that may well consititute a ground for party typology and in connection with the variables like “education”, “age”, “gender” and “professional groups”. Within this framework, the data of 2002 research is compared with the findings of the 1995 and 1999 research done on the same subject to specify the continuities and changes. Hence the reasons for the changes are evaluated within the context of political events and socioeconomic conditions
