Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Akademik, Sosyo-Kültürel ve Ekonomik Sorunları: Fotoses Uygulaması

Abstract

Bu çalışma ile üniversite öğrencilerinin karşılaştıkları akademik, sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik sorunların belirlenerek çözümler geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada nitel desenlerden eylem araştırması fotoses odaklı yürütülmüştür. Katılımcılar 12 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Veriler içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda; öğrencilerin sahip oldukları akademik, sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik sorunlar beş tema ve 27 kod altında toplanmıştır. Tema ve kodlar bir bütün olarak değerlendirildiğinde; öğrencilerin akademik, sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik açıdan birçok sorunla (hedef, içerik, öğretim süreçleri, ölçme-değerlendirme ve sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik koşullar temalarında) karşı karşıya kaldığı görülmüştür. Bu sorunların çözümü için akademik personel ile idari personele hizmet içi eğitimler sunulması, gerekli eğitim yatırımlarının yapılması ve öğrenci gelirlerinin desteklenmesi gibi öneriler geliştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları ve öneriler karar alıcılarla paylaşılarak öğrencilerin karşılaştıkları akademik, sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik sorunların ortadan kaldırılması/en aza indirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.

Academic, Socio-Cultural and Economic Problems of University Students: Photovoice Application

Abstract

This study aims to determine the academic, socio-cultural and economic problems faced by university students and develop solutions. In the study, action research, one of the qualitative patterns, was carried out with a focus on photovoice. The participants consist of 12 students. The data were analyzed through content analysis. According to the result of the study, the academic, socio-cultural and economic problems of the students were grouped under five themes and 27 codes. When the theme and codes are evaluated as a whole, it has been seen that students face many problems in terms of academic, socio-cultural and economic aspects (In the themes of target, content, teaching processes, measurement-evaluation and socio-cultural and economic conditions). In order to solve these problems, suggestions have been developed such as providing in-service trainings to academic and administrative staff, making necessary education investments and supporting student income. The research results and suggestions were shared with the decision makers and it was ensured/aimed to eliminate/minimize the academic, socio-cultural and economic problems faced by the students.
