Yabancılaşma ve Haysiyet İnkârı: Ücretlilik İlişkisinin Sonuçları

Abstract

Bu çalışma emeğin yabancılaşmasını ele almakta ve yabancılaşmanın bir haysiyet inkârı olarak okunabileceğini ileri sürmektedir. Bu çerçevede öncelikle işçilerin yabancılaşmanın hangi biçimlerini deneyimledikleri Kocaeli, Ankara ve Nevşehir’de toplam 30 işçi ile yüz yüze gerçekleştirilen görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler kullanılarak açıklanmaya çalışılmaktadır. Ardından yabancılaşma ve sınıf mücadelesi arasındaki ilişki tartışılmaktadır. Elde edilen veriler, emek gücünü satarak geçinen işçilerin parçalı bile olsa bu yabancılaşmanın ve haysiyet inkârının farkında olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu çerçevede makalede, yabancılaşmanın bir çıktısı olarak haysiyet inkârının işçileri onur ve saygınlık arayışı çerçevesinde bir sınıf mücadelesine sokabileceği bir olasılık olarak ileri sürülmektedir. Bu noktanın önemi sınıf mücadelesinin sadece ekonomik bir mücadele olmadığını, işçilerin literatürdeki anlamıyla sınıf bilincine sahip olmasalar bile ekonomik mücadele dışında da onur ve haysiyet arayışı gibi duygular çerçevesinde örgütlenebileceğini ve bir sınıf mücadelesine girişebileceğini göstermesinde yatmaktadır.

Alienation and Dignity Denial: The Consequences of the Wage Relationship

Abstract

This study deals with the alienation of labour and argues that alienation can be read as a dignity denial. In this framework, firstly, the forms of alienation experienced by workers are tried to be explained by using the data obtained from face-to-face interviews with a total of 30 workers in Kocaeli, Ankara and Nevşehir. Then the relationship between alienation and class struggle is discussed. The data obtained show that workers who make a living by selling their labour power are aware of this alienation and dignity denial, even if it is partial. In this context, the article suggests that the dignity denial as an outcome of alienation could potentially lead workers to engage in class struggle in their search for honour and respect. The importance of this point lies in showing that class struggle is not merely an economic struggle, but that workers can organise and engage in class struggle based on emotions such as the pursuit of honour and dignity, even if they do not have class consciousness in the sense used in the literature.
