Abstract

Bu incelemede 2023 yılında İmge Kitabevi tarafından Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin 100. Yılına Armağan serisi kapsamında yayımlanan Küresel Dönüşüm ve Türkiye’de Kamu Yönetimi Eğitimi kitabı ele alınmaktadır. Üç yazarlı araştırma, küresel dönüşüm sürecinde kamu yönetimi ve eğitiminin değişimini konu edinmektedir. Konu, kuram ve uygulama açısından derinlikli bilgi sahibi olan, aynı zamanda süreci deneyimleyen kamu yönetimi bölüm başkanlarının gözünden odak grup toplantısı tekniği ve nitel yöntemle ortaya konulmaktadır. Değişim, ele alınan tarihsel gelişmelerin zorunlu sonucu görülmekteyse kamu yönetimi araştırmacı ve uygulamacılarının bu süreçte, neleri bilmesi ve yapması gerektiği sorusu bugün ve geleceğe ilişkin yol açıcı önerilerle yanıtlanarak değerlendirilmektedir.

Global Transformation and Public Administration Education in Turkey

Abstract

This review covers the book Global Transformation and Public Administration Education in Turkey, published by İmge in ​​2023 within the scope of the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Turkey series. The research, with three authors, deals with the change in public administration and education in the global transformation process. The subject is presented through the focus group meeting technique and qualitative method through the eyes of public administration department heads who have in-depth knowledge in terms of theory and practice and who also experience the process. Change is seen as a necessary consequence of the developments achieved, and the process of what public administration researchers and practitioners should know and do in this process is evaluated with guiding suggestions about today and the future.
