Abstract

It is possible to see women‟s movements in various forms throughout the history. They
focus on women‟s equal opportunities in education, social affairs and in other fields. There are
feminist-inspired nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) all over Asia that focus on a myriad of
issues. Women‟s movements in Mongolia, like in Asian other countries, started as a result of the
interaction with the West. This paper reviews the development of women‟s movements in Mongolia
and discusses the activities of women‟s NGOs.
