Notes on Cerastium brachypetalum Pers. Caryophyllaceae and new subspecies records for Turkish flora

Abstract

The study was based on herbarium specimens. Until now, Cerastium brachypetalum Pers. Caryophyllaceae was known with two subspecies from Turkish flora. As a result of the examination of herbarium specimens, the state of the species was reevaluated. At the end of the re-evaluation, C. brachypetalum subsp. pindigenum Lonsing P.D.Sell & Whitehead was given as new record for flora. In light of the findings, it was concluded that the species was represented by three subspecies in Turkish Flora. In addition to these, the descriptions of these subspecies were rewritten and their distributions were given. A diagnostic key has also been prepared for the subspecies

Türkiye'de yayılış gösteren Cerastium brachypetalum Pers. Caryophyllaceae türü üzerine notlar ve Türkiye florasına yeni bir alttür kaydı

Abstract

Çalışma herbaryum örneklerine dayandırılmıştır. Bugüne kadar Türkiye florasında iki alttür ile bilinen Cerastium brachypetalum Pers. türünün Türkiye florasındaki durumu, alttürlerine ait herbaryum örneklerinin incelenmesi sonunda yeniden değerlendirilmiştir. Değerlendirme sonunda C. brachypetalum subsp. pindigenum Lonsing P.D.Sell & Whitehead’ın da Türkiye’de yayılış gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular ışığında Türkiye florasında türe ait 3 alttürün yayılış gösterdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmada bu alttürlerin betimleri yeniden yazılmış ve dağılımları belirtilmiştir. Ayrıca alt türler için bir teşhis anahtarı oluşturulmuştur
